Yes, I'm still here.

I've been a little too busy to devote time to a blog. I have a family and kids after all.

I've stopped being interested in Minix 3. There are a few reasons for this. First is that I've been 'tainted' by having source code access to another microkernel OS through my employer. Second, despite claims to the contrary -- the folks running Minix 3 don't seem to be very interested in having non-students make contributions to their OS. Finally, QNX have opened up source access to their kernel over at Foundry27.

I've been fighting with Eclipse CDT 4.0 at work for a bit. We have a large codebase -- it's an entire embedded OS + applications -- that I'd like to use Eclipse with. Well really any tools more modern than vi, emacs and gdb on the CLI. At any rate, the sheer size of the project gives CDT fits.

I'd like to have a better look at git and mercurial at some time too

This is the first post to inaugurate this blog.

It's mostly for my own personal notes about stuff that I'm interested in.

Topics that will show up here will include Minix 3, Subversion, Mercurial, SCM in general, Java and anything else I may want to add.
